Aarakocra
These self righteous eagles spend their time roaming the skies, often flying above other cities so the residents can see their magnificent wings, in an attempt to cause jealousy.
They care little for what goes on in the rest of the continent, having built their cities atop mountains they believe themselves safe from attack. They are notorious flirts, even when married, and very proud. It is not uncommon for them to burst into a fit of rage if they feel they have been slighted. This combined with their flirtatious nature often means marriages do not last long. Their societies are a democracy, though females are almost always the leaders, while not forbidden for males to run, it is frowned upon. As in the past all male leaders have ended up leading their people into wars that have not gone well for their kind.
Their favourite prey is the chitine, though will not venture into the forests to get them, instead waiting for one to be sitting above the tree line.

Male and female. Aera, Aial, Aur, Deekek, Errk, Heehk, Ikki, Kleeck, Oorr, Ouss, Quaf, Quierk, Salleek, Urreek, or Zeed.
Aarakocra Traits
As an aarakocra, you have certain traits in common with your people. Being able to fly at high speed starting at 1st level is exceptionally effective in certain circumstances and exceedingly dangerous in others. As a result, playing an aarakocra requires special consideration by your DM.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age. Aarakocra reach maturity by age 3. Compared to humans, aarakocra don’t usually live longer than 30 years.
Alignment. Most aarakocra are good and rarely choose sides when it comes to law and chaos. Tribal leaders and warriors might be lawful, while explorers and adventurers might tend toward chaotic.
Size. Aarakocra are about 5 feet tall. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 80 and 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Flight. You have a flying speed of 50 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.
Talons. You are proficient with your unarmed strikes, which deal 1d4 slashing damage on a hit.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Aarakocra, and Auran.
